Lead Material Handler

SAAB is seeking a Lead Material Handler to support advanced manufacturing operations for cutting-edge defense and security systems. In this role, you will coordinate material flow, oversee loading, receiving, and inventory accuracy, and ensure components are delivered to production lines on time. You will lead a small team, enforce safety and quality standards, and use ERP/warehouse systems, forklifts, and material handling equipment. Working in Saab's innovative, mission-driven environment, you'll collaborate with engineering, production, and logistics teams to support reliable, secure, and efficient manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily material handling activities to support production schedules
• Coordinate receiving, storage, staging, and delivery of materials to production lines
• Operate and oversee forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/WMS systems
• Perform cycle counts and help resolve inventory discrepancies
• Enforce safety, quality, and security procedures in all handling operations
• Train and guide material handling staff on best practices
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and logistics to prioritize material flow
• Support continuous improvement of warehouse and material flow processes
• Prepare and verify shipping and receiving documentation
