Cook - Senior Living

Lifespace Communities is seeking a Cook to prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents in a senior living community. In this role, you will follow standardized recipes and therapeutic diet guidelines to support independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing residents. You'll ensure high food quality, safety, and presentation while maintaining a clean, organized kitchen. Working within a resident-first, mission-driven culture, you will collaborate with clinical and hospitality teams, support special requests, follow sanitation standards, and contribute to a warm, service-focused dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and menus
• Follow therapeutic and special diet requirements for residents
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food inventory
• Collaborate with dietary and nursing teams on resident needs
• Support resident-first service and respond to special requests
• Follow organizational policies and participate in training
