Electronic Security Systems Design Engineer

Securitas Technology seeks a Design Engineer to develop integrated electronic security and life safety solutions for commercial and enterprise clients. In this role, you will design video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and related systems, producing detailed layouts, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials. You will conduct site assessments, interpret client requirements, and ensure compliance with codes and standards. Working closely with sales, project management, and field teams, you will validate technical feasibility, support installation and commissioning, and contribute to continuous improvement in a safety- and innovation-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Design integrated electronic security and life safety systems for commercial and enterprise facilities
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, device layouts, and wiring diagrams using CAD tools
• Perform site surveys and needs assessments to translate client requirements into technical solutions
• Specify equipment, materials, and bill of materials aligned with codes, standards, and budgets
• Collaborate with sales, project management, and installation teams to ensure design intent and feasibility
• Support technical reviews, submittals, and approvals with clients and AHJs
• Provide engineering support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and cybersecurity best practices
• Document designs, calculations, and revisions for project records and quality control
