Field Service Technician - Electric Bus & High-Voltage Transit Systems

As a Field Service Technician - Electric Bus & High Voltage, you support safe, reliable electric transit buses in the field. Working at customer sites, you install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair high voltage electrical and electronic systems, wiring, and components, using schematics and diagnostic tools. You document work performed, travel extensively to transit locations, and provide clear, professional support to customers and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair high voltage electrical and electronic issues on electric and hydrogen fuel cell buses.
• Install electrical systems, wiring, and components on transit vehicles per schematics and instructions.
• Inspect, test, and maintain transformers, circuit breakers, relays, motors, lighting, and related components.
• Use meters and diagnostic tools to identify faults and verify proper operation of electrical circuits and systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, process sheets, schematics, and technical instructions to guide repairs and installs.
• Document service work performed and communicate findings and recommendations to customers and internal teams.
• Travel extensively to customer sites to perform on site service, support, and commissioning of transit buses.
