IHC Laboratory Assistant II

ProPath Services, LLC is seeking an IHC Laboratory Assistant II to support high-volume immunohistochemistry and anatomic pathology testing in our Dallas, TX laboratory. In this role, you will assist with specimen receipt, accessioning, labeling, slide preparation, reagent handling, and equipment upkeep while following strict quality and safety protocols. You will collaborate closely with pathologists and technologists to ensure accurate, timely diagnostic results, maintain detailed records, and support workflow efficiency. This position offers hands-on experience with advanced diagnostic platforms, opportunities for learning, and growth within a respected, physician-owned lab.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and accession IHC and pathology specimens
• Prepare and label cassettes, slides, and reagents accurately
• Assist with IHC slide preparation and staining workflows
• Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and work areas
• Follow quality control, safety, and infection prevention procedures
• Accurately enter and verify data in the laboratory information system
• Prioritize and organize work to meet turnaround times
• Communicate effectively with pathologists, technologists, and support staff
• Assist with troubleshooting basic pre-analytic and workflow issues
• Support continuous improvement and compliance with lab regulations
