Network Security Engineer

Cargill is seeking a Network Security Engineer to safeguard critical manufacturing and corporate networks. In this role, you will design and maintain secure network architectures, integrating OT and IT environments across global facilities. You will manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and segmentation to protect sensitive data and production systems. Responsibilities include monitoring for threats, leading incident response, and driving vulnerability remediation. You will partner with cross-functional teams to embed security into new solutions while supporting compliance, audits, and continuous improvement in a culture focused on safety, integrity, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures for manufacturing and corporate environments
• Monitor network and security infrastructure, responding to incidents and vulnerabilities
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure remote access
• Conduct security assessments, penetration tests, and remediation activities
• Harden OT/IT systems and ensure compliance with security standards and policies
• Collaborate with infrastructure, OT, and application teams on secure solutions
• Develop and maintain security documentation, runbooks, and network diagrams
• Support audits, risk assessments, and regulatory or customer security requirements
