Clinical Triage Nurse

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Clinical Triage Nurse for Women's Care/OBGYN in St. Louis. In this role, you will assess patient symptoms via phone and electronic messages, provide evidence-based triage, and coordinate timely appointments or emergency referrals. You'll educate patients on OB/GYN conditions, medications, and self-care, collaborate closely with physicians and care teams, document assessments accurately in the EHR, and support continuity of care. Responsibilities

• Perform telephone and electronic symptom triage for OB/GYN and women's health patients using evidence-based protocols
• Prioritize patient acuity and direct patients to appropriate level of care, including same-day visits, routine appointments, or emergency services
• Provide clear patient education on conditions, test results, medications, and self-care instructions
• Document all assessments, triage decisions, and patient interactions accurately in the EHRCollaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to support coordinated care plans
• Monitor and follow up on critical results and high-risk patients as directed by clinic protocols
• Support patient access by managing call queues, messages, and refills in a timely, patient-centered manner
• Maintain compliance with clinical, safety, infection control, and privacy standards and policies
