Histology Laboratory Supervisor

ProPath Services, LLC seeks a Histology Laboratory Supervisor to lead daily operations in a high quality, compliance focused lab. The supervisor will oversee histology workflows, embedding, microtomy, special stains, and IHC to ensure accurate, timely results. Key duties include scheduling and mentoring histotechnologists, monitoring quality controls, maintaining CLIA/CAP readiness, and troubleshooting instrumentation. The role collaborates with pathologists and operations leaders, drives process improvements, manages inventory, and upholds strict safety and documentation standards in a professional, service oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily histology laboratory operations and workflows
• Oversee tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, special stains, and IHCSchedule, train, and mentor histology staff and manage performance
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and internal quality standards
• Monitor and document quality control and proficiency testing
• Oversee instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting
• Maintain inventory of reagents, supplies, and lab equipment
• Collaborate with pathologists and operations leaders to meet turnaround times
• Implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
• Enforce laboratory safety policies and regulatory requirements
