Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician - Hospitality

Marriott is seeking an Engineer Building IV to support hotel facility operations and ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for guests and associates. This advanced-level role performs complex maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety equipment. The Engineer Building IV leads or mentors junior engineers, coordinates with external vendors, and helps plan preventive maintenance. This role supports energy efficiency, regulatory compliance, and rapid response to service requests to minimize downtime and protect the guest experience across the property.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance and repair on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Lead troubleshooting of complex building system issues to minimize downtime
• Execute and improve preventive maintenance schedules for hotel facilities
• Monitor and support building life-safety and fire protection systems
• Coordinate and oversee external contractors and service vendors
• Respond promptly to work orders and guest-impact maintenance requests
• Guide and mentor junior engineering and maintenance staff
• Support energy-efficiency initiatives and cost-control measures
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work records, and compliance documentation
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, and regulatory standards across the property
