Non Registered Radiology Technologist

Intermountain Health is seeking a Non Registered Radiology Technologist to support diagnostic imaging services in a patient-centered, team-based environment. In this role, you will prepare and position patients, verify orders, and assist licensed technologists with X-ray and other imaging procedures while ensuring comfort, safety, and privacy. You'll help maintain equipment and exam rooms, manage supplies, and complete accurate documentation in the EHR. Working closely with nurses, providers, and technologists, you'll contribute to high-quality, affordable care and have access to growth opportunities in a mission-driven health system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for radiology exams under the direction of licensed technologists
• Verify imaging orders, patient identity, and required documentation prior to procedures
• Assist technologists during imaging exams while maintaining patient comfort and safety
• Apply radiation safety principles and use appropriate shielding as instructed
• Clean, stock, and prepare imaging rooms and equipment between patients
• Document relevant information accurately in the electronic health record
• Monitor patients during and after procedures and promptly report concerns
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and technologists to coordinate workflow
• Educate patients and families on exam expectations and basic preparation requirements
• Support quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives within the imaging department
