Job Description
Orchid Orthopedic Solutions is seeking a Visual Inspector, Rough Casting to support the manufacture of orthopedic implants and instruments. In this on-site role, you will examine rough castings for surface defects and other nonconformities, compare parts with drawings and inspection criteria, use basic measuring tools as needed, and accurately record inspection results. You will follow established safety and quality procedures in a regulated medical device environment and work with production and quality teams to address issues and support continuous improvement. Bring care, integrity, and attention to detail to work that contributes to products designed to improve patient outcomes. Training and cross-functional collaboration support your development in specialized manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Visually inspect rough castings for surface defects, damage, and other nonconformities.
- Compare castings with engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria.
- Use appropriate measuring tools to verify dimensions when required.
- Document inspection findings accurately and maintain required quality records.
- Identify and communicate nonconforming product to production and quality teams.
- Follow safety, quality, and procedural requirements in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support corrective actions and continuous improvement.
