Senior Power Systems Electrical Engineer - Utilities & Energy

Constellation Energy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support critical power generation and distribution projects in the Utilities & Energy sector. In this role, you will design, analyze, and optimize electrical systems for reliability, safety, and efficiency across generation, transmission, and distribution assets. Responsibilities include developing one-line diagrams, equipment specifications, protection and controls, and load studies; leading root-cause analysis; ensuring NERC, IEEE, NEC and utility compliance; managing vendors; mentoring junior engineers; and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver innovative, sustainable energy solutions on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze electrical power generation and distribution systems
• Develop one-line diagrams, equipment specs, and protection and control schemes
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, and coordination studies
• Ensure compliance with NERC, IEEE, NEC, and utility standards
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement reliability improvements
• Support project planning, cost estimation, and scheduling
• Coordinate with operations, construction, and vendors
• Review and approve engineering drawings and calculations
• Mentor and guide junior engineers
• Contribute to innovation and sustainability initiatives
