Job Description
Signature Aviation is seeking an experienced Technician, Airframe and Powerplant III to perform advanced maintenance on business and general aviation aircraft. In this on-site role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and inspect airframe and powerplant systems, ensuring strict compliance with FAA regulations and company safety standards. You will interpret technical manuals, document all work accurately, and coordinate closely with operations to minimize aircraft downtime. Working within a safety-obsessed, service-driven culture, you will mentor junior technicians, support continuous training, and help deliver a premium, reliable experience for private, business, and government aviation customers across Signature's global FBO network.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft airframe and powerplant systems to ensure safety and airworthiness.
- Interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and maintenance records to plan and execute required work.
- Document all maintenance actions accurately in accordance with FAA and company requirements.
- Coordinate with operations and ground handling teams to minimize aircraft downtime and support flight schedules.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all maintenance activities.
- Mentor junior technicians and support on-the-job training and knowledge sharing.
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and hangar resources in a safe and organized manner.
- Communicate findings, repair status, and technical recommendations to supervisors, pilots, and customers as needed.
