Local Delivery Driver

Stone Center - Indianapolis seeks a reliable Driver to deliver natural and manufactured stone products to contractors, builders, and homeowners across Central Indiana. In this hands-on role, you will safely operate company trucks, load and unload stone, verify orders, and ensure materials arrive on time and in good condition. You'll perform basic vehicle inspections, secure loads, and follow all safety guidelines. When not on the road, you'll assist in organizing the yard and staging products. This position offers steady work, the chance to learn stone products, and contribute to visible construction and landscaping projects with a tight-knit team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport stone products to job sites and customer locations across Central Indiana.
• Load and unload stone, pallets, and fabricated pieces using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling while following safety procedures.
• Secure loads properly to prevent damage or shifting during transport and comply with DOT and company safety standards.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Verify orders, delivery paperwork, and material quantities before departure and at delivery.
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate deliveries and resolve basic issues on-site.
• Maintain clean, organized vehicles and assist in yard organization and material staging when not on the road.
• Follow all company, traffic, and safety regulations, including PPE use and safe lifting techniques.
