The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to drive high impact financial planning and execution at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Unit Charleston. As a Financial Analyst, you'll become a key contributor in building budgets, forecasting financial performance, and strengthening long range financial planning for the NPTU Charleston site. You'll analyze trends, develop meaningful insights, support decision making, and help ensure resources are aligned to support both current operations and future mission needs. Your work will support strategic planning, disciplined execution, and financial transparency across a diverse team of engineers, project managers, and program stakeholders. What You'll Do • Build, maintain, and optimize site level budgets and forecasts • Track financial performance and highlight opportunities for improvement • Support cost analysis, variance evaluation, and trend reporting • Drive clear and timely communication across technical, financial, and program teams • Contribute to long range planning and financial strategy development • Evaluate resource needs and support disciplined budget execution • Collaborate across the Site Program Office to advance strategic initiatives and strengthen financial stewardship This position is not fully remote and requires regular onsite presence at NPTU Charleston. Limited telework opportunities are available, consistent with program needs. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 9 years of relevant experience; orMaster's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and 7 years of relevant experience. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
