MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST

American Esoteric Laboratories seeks a Medical Technologist to perform diagnostic testing in our Laboratory Services department. You will conduct hematology, chemistry, and microbiology assays, ensure accurate and timely results, and maintain strict quality and safety standards. Working in a collaborative, inclusive environment, you'll operate and troubleshoot analyzers, validate results in the LIS, and communicate critical findings to clinicians. Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized diagnostic tests in hematology, chemistry, and microbiology to support patient care
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment, documenting quality control results
• Accurately receive, label, and process patient specimens following established protocols and safety standards
• Validate and report test results in the LIS, promptly communicating critical values to clinical staff
• Adhere to CLIA, CAP, and HIPAA regulations, maintaining strict quality, safety, and confidentiality standards
• Collaborate with pathologists and clinicians to troubleshoot test discrepancies and improve workflow efficiency
• Participate in proficiency testing, competency assessments, and continuous process improvement initiatives
• Train and mentor new staff or students on lab procedures, instrumentation, and safety practices
• Maintain accurate records, inventory supplies, and support preventive maintenance schedules
• Contribute to an inclusive, team-oriented culture focused on innovation, learning, and high-quality service
