Commercial Lines Insurance Account Manager

Marshall and Sterling Inc is seeking an Account Manager to service and grow commercial lines accounts. In this client-facing role, you'll manage renewals, market placements, endorsements, and policy reviews while ensuring outstanding service to business clients. You will analyze risk exposures, prepare proposals, coordinate with carriers, and resolve coverage or billing issues. Working with a collaborative, community-focused team, you'll support producers, mentor clients on coverage options, and contribute to retention and growth goals in a supportive, development-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day service for a book of commercial lines accounts
• Handle renewals, marketing, quoting, and policy placement with carriers
• Review policies, endorsements, and contracts for accuracy and coverage adequacy
• Respond to client inquiries and resolve coverage, billing, and claim-related issues
• Prepare proposals, summaries of insurance, and client presentations
• Maintain accurate documentation in agency management systems
• Collaborate with producers to support retention and growth goals
• Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within existing accounts
• Coordinate with carriers and underwriters to negotiate terms and pricing
• Support compliance with agency, carrier, and regulatory requirements
