Job Description
TRIBUS is seeking a CMM Programmer/Operator to support precision inspection for our technology-driven real estate products. In this role, you will program, set up, and operate CMM equipment to verify complex components against CAD models and GD&T requirements. You'll create efficient, repeatable measurement routines, perform first-article and production inspections, and generate clear reports for engineering and QA teams. Working within TRIBUS's collaborative, remote-first culture, you'll help improve quality, refine processes, and contribute to data-driven product decisions across our platform portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CMM equipment to inspect complex components
- Translate CAD models and technical drawings into precise CMM measurement programs
- Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections to verify specifications
- Analyze and document measurement data; generate clear inspection reports
- Collaborate with engineering and QA to resolve dimensional and tolerance issues
- Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment; troubleshoot basic hardware/software issues
- Continuously improve CMM programs for speed, repeatability, and accuracy
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions using measurement data
Required Skills
- CMM programming (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar)
- Coordinate metrology and dimensional inspection
- CAD interpretation and model-based definition
- GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- Inspection report generation and documentation
- Statistical analysis of measurement data (SPC)
- CMM setup, fixturing, and tooling
- Equipment calibration and basic maintenance
- Root-cause analysis for dimensional issues
- Technical communication with engineering and QA
