Sr. Project Engineer

Phoenix Industrial Inc. is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to lead industrial construction projects in the energy, petrochemical, mining, and heavy industrial sectors. Reporting to project management, you will plan and coordinate multi-discipline engineering, support constructability reviews, develop schedules and work packages, and oversee quality and technical compliance. You will collaborate closely with field supervisors, safety, and clients, resolve design issues, support commissioning, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring strict adherence to safety, cost, and schedule targets across Western Canada projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multi-discipline industrial construction projects
• Develop and maintain project engineering plans, schedules, and work packages
• Perform constructability reviews and support design optimization
• Coordinate with field supervisors, safety, and quality teams
• Ensure technical compliance with codes, standards, and client specifications
• Monitor project performance against safety, cost, and schedule targets
• Resolve design and site engineering issues in collaboration with project teams
• Support commissioning, start-up, and turnover documentation
• Prepare technical reports, RFIs, and change documentation
• Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned across projects
