Supplemental Sales Agent

Horace Mann seeks a Supplemental Sales Agent to serve K-12 educators with insurance and retirement solutions. In this mission-driven role, you'll build relationships with teachers and school employees, assess their coverage needs, and recommend supplemental products such as life, disability, and accident insurance. You'll manage a sales pipeline, conduct school and virtual presentations, and provide ongoing client service. Responsibilities

• Prospect and engage K-12 educators and school employees to promote supplemental insurance products
• Conduct needs-based consultations to explain coverage options and recommend solutions
• Present insurance and retirement solutions in schools, virtually, and by phone
• Manage a pipeline of prospects, track activities, and follow up to close sales
• Complete applications accurately and ensure timely submission of required documentation
• Meet or exceed individual sales and performance targets within assigned territory
• Provide ongoing service support, policy reviews, and beneficiary updates to existing clients
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and ensure excellent customer experience
• Stay current on product features, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in community and school events to build relationships and brand awareness
