Healthcare Business Office Manager - Skilled Nursing Facility

Skilled Nursing of Johnstown seeks a Business Office Manager to oversee billing, resident trust, payroll, and AR/AP for our skilled nursing and long-term care facility. This role manages daily business office operations, ensures accurate Medicaid/Medicare and insurance billing, maintains financial records, and supports budgeting and month-end reporting. The Business Office Manager collaborates with clinical and administrative leaders, supervises office staff, and communicates with residents, families, and payors. Success in this role requires strong healthcare billing knowledge, attention to detail, regulatory compliance, and a commitment to resident-centered, compassionate service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily business office operations for a skilled nursing and long-term care facility
• Manage Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing and collections
• Administer resident trust accounts in compliance with regulations
• Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes
• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare routine reports
• Support budgeting, month-end close, and financial audits
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and payer regulations
• Supervise and train business office staff
• Communicate with residents, families, and payors regarding billing and financial matters
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support resident-centered care
