RN Medical Surgical Unit

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a dedicated RN for our Medical Surgical Unit. The RN will deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care, including assessments, medication administration, wound care, and discharge planning. Responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, monitoring patient status, documenting in the EHR, and educating patients and families. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients, including assessments and care planning.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per provider orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor, interpret, and document patient status and responses to treatment in the EHR.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and support staff to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention, safety, and quality standards.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and participate in rapid response or emergency interventions.
