What You?ll Champion:

• Full-time Physician Assistant (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with RNFA certification opportunity with a leading cardiac surgery team at WellSpan York Hospital.
• Join a highly collaborative practice featuring 4 cardiac surgeons and 4 experienced APPs.
• Four 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, with a shared call rotation.
• Provide comprehensive cardiac surgery, critical care, and inpatient management for pre- and post-operative patients.
• Perform consults, daily rounds, patient assessments, discharge planning, and care coordination.
• Support a busy cardiac surgery service across two operating rooms while managing inpatient and ICU patient care.
• Serve as a surgical team member by first assisting in adult cardiac surgery cases and performing endoscopic vein and radial artery harvesting to support exceptional patient outcomes.
• Cardiac surgery experience required; Acute Care NP or PA-C certification required.
• Must reside within 40 minutes of WellSpan York Hospital for call coverage.

  Minimum Education:
  • Masters Degree For Nurse Practitioner. Required or
  • Bachelors Degree For Physician Assistant. Required
  • Masters Degree For Physician Assistant. Preferred
  Work Experience:
  • 1 year Relevant experience. Required
  Licenses:
  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Physician Assistant Upon Hire Required and
  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required or
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required
  Courses and Training:
  • BLS and/or ACLS as appropriate for the clinical role. Upon Hire Required and
