Landfill Equipment Operator

GFL Environmental is seeking a Landfill Equipment Operator to safely operate dozers, compactors, and loaders to manage waste and cover materials at our landfill site. In this role, you will control grade and compaction, perform daily equipment inspections, and follow strict safety and environmental standards. You'll coordinate with scale house and site personnel to ensure efficient traffic flow and cell usage while maintaining clean, stable working surfaces. Responsibilities

• Operate dozers, compactors, and loaders to spread, compact, and cover waste safely and efficiently
• Maintain proper grades, slopes, and compaction in active landfill cells
• Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections and report equipment issues
• Follow all safety, environmental, and PPE requirements on site
• Coordinate with scale house and site staff to manage traffic and tipping areas
• Maintain clean, stable working surfaces and access roads
• Assist with minor equipment maintenance and housekeeping tasks
• Accurately document work activities as required by site procedures
