Retail & Inside Sales Intern - Paints & Coatings

Join Sherwin-Williams for the 2027 Management and Sales Summer Internship and gain hands-on experience in a global manufacturing leader. Interns support store operations, learn sales fundamentals, and work directly with customers across construction, industrial, and commercial markets. You'll assist with merchandising, inventory, and order fulfillment while developing product knowledge in paints and coatings. Responsibilities

• Support store sales through customer service, product recommendations, and order processing
• Assist with merchandising, stocking, and inventory management in a retail/wholesale environment
• Learn store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and safety standards
• Partner with managers and sales reps to support local business development activities
• Prepare quotes, process transactions, and maintain accurate records in store systems
• Participate in training on coatings products, sales techniques, and safety practices
• Collaborate with team members to meet service, sales, and operational goals
• Observe and support territory or account management activities as assigned
