Commercial Refrigeration Technician

CoolSys is seeking a Commercial Journeyman Refrigeration technician to install, service, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems on construction and retrofit projects. You will work with advanced HVAC-R and energy-efficient solutions for retail, commercial, and industrial clients, focusing on safe, reliable, and high-quality work. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, brazing and piping, handling refrigerants per EPA rules, and reading blueprints. Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration systems for construction and retrofit projects
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC-R and refrigeration equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using gauges, meters, and digital tools
• Braise, solder, and pipe refrigeration lines to industry and company standards
• Charge, recover, and handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians on job planning and execution
• Complete service tickets, documentation, and reports accurately and on time
• Follow all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies on job sites
• Support and mentor apprentices or junior technicians as needed
