Clinical Laboratory Technician

Castleview Hospital in Price, UT seeks a Medical Lab Technician to perform clinical testing, maintain analyzers, and ensure accurate, timely results supporting patient care. Responsibilities include specimen collection and processing, running hematology, chemistry, and immunology tests, performing QC, documenting results in the LIS, and following CLIA and hospital safety standards. You'll collaborate with nurses and providers, support emergency and inpatient services, and participate in ongoing training within a supportive, team-focused environment committed to high-quality, compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Collect, label, and process patient specimens following hospital and regulatory protocols
• Perform routine and STAT tests in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, and immunology
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment
• Perform and document quality control and participate in quality assurance activities
• Verify and enter test results accurately into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
• Communicate critical results promptly to nurses and providers
• Follow infection control, safety, and CLIA standards at all times
• Collaborate with the care team to support emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services
• Assist with inventory management and proper storage of reagents and supplies
• Participate in ongoing training and competency assessments
