Senior Labor and Employment Attorney - Wage and Hour

Global Medical Response seeks a Labor and Employment Lawyer specializing in wage and hour issues to advise on complex employment matters across our U.S. operations. You will counsel HR and leadership on compliance with federal and state labor laws, draft and review policies, support investigations, and manage outside counsel on litigation. Partner with leaders to reduce risk, resolve disputes, and promote fair, compliant practices that support patient-focused operations in a fast-paced, 24/7 healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise HR and business leaders on labor and employment laws, with focus on wage and hour compliance
• Interpret and apply federal, state, and local employment regulations to complex, multi-state operations
• Draft, review, and update employment policies, handbooks, and procedures
• Support and conduct internal investigations related to employment and wage and hour issues
• Manage and coordinate with outside counsel on employment litigation and agency matters
• Assess legal risk and recommend practical, business-focused solutions
• Develop and deliver training on employment law and wage and hour topics
• Monitor regulatory changes affecting healthcare and emergency response workforce
• Support collective workforce initiatives, scheduling models, and pay practices for 24/7 operations
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment of employment practices with GMR's patient-care mission and culture
