HVAC-R Construction Project Manager

CoolSys is seeking a Project Manager to lead HVAC-R construction projects for retail, commercial, and industrial clients. In this role, you will manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources, coordinating field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver high-quality mechanical and refrigeration systems. You'll drive safety compliance, ensure code and spec adherence, oversee change orders, and maintain accurate documentation. Working in a collaborative, hands-on environment, you'll support technical excellence, customer satisfaction, and energy-efficient, sustainable solutions nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and manage HVAC-R construction projects from kickoff through closeout
• Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to meet scope, budget, and timeline
• Monitor project costs, change orders, and forecasts; report status to stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards
• Conduct site walks, resolve field issues, and support installation quality control
• Maintain project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and progress reports
• Collaborate with customers to clarify requirements and manage expectations
• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans to keep projects on track
