Catheterization Laboratory Technician

HCA Florida Northwest Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cath Lab Tech to join our dynamic team in our state-of-the-art catheterization lab. At our facility, we prioritize personalized treatment and use cutting-edge technologies to provide top-tier healthcare. The ideal candidate will assist in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and supporting other complex procedures under the direction of a professional clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, and other vascular procedures under the direction of a qualified physician.
• Monitor and operate equipment, prepare patients for procedures, and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Maintain detailed records of patient treatments and outcomes.
• Ensure all cath lab equipment and materials are stocked and functioning properly.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care and educate patients on procedure details and recovery.

Required Skills

• Proficient in operating catheterization laboratory equipment including physiological monitor and related equipment.
• Strong understanding of cardiac and vascular disease and the corresponding treatments.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
