Direct patient dining operations at Duke University Hospital, ensuring safe, timely, and accurate meal service that meets nutritional needs and supports a positive patient experience. Lead the patient services team, partner with clinical and nursing staff, and manage service quality, staffing, budgets, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient food service operations, including meal preparation and tray delivery.
• Lead, develop, and motivate patient service managers, supervisors, and staff.
• Coordinate nutrition communications and strategies with clinical nutrition, nursing, and hospital teams.
• Oversee the diet office, service ambassador program, and patient rounding initiatives.
• Manage staffing, supplies, resources, budgets, and operational performance metrics.
• Monitor food safety, sanitation, service quality, and regulatory compliance.
