Deli Food Service Supervisor - Travel Center

Pilot Flying J is seeking a Deli Shift Leader to oversee deli operations at our travel center. In this fast-paced role, you'll lead a small team in preparing fresh food, ensuring food safety, and delivering friendly service to professional drivers and travelers. Responsibilities include opening/closing the deli, assigning tasks, monitoring quality and cleanliness, managing inventories, and assisting with training new team members. You'll model Pilot's safety and hospitality standards while helping guests get back on the road quickly. Growth opportunities and cross-training across store and fuel operations are available.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily deli operations during assigned shifts
• Prepare and serve deli food items to brand and safety standards
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service to guests
• Train, coach, and support deli team members
• Conduct opening and closing procedures for the deli area
• Handle cash, POS transactions, and basic reconciliations
• Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of deli and prep areas
• Assist with inventory counts, ordering, and minimizing waste
