Senior Full-Stack Product Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Own End-to-End Product Development: Design, build, test, and ship high-quality product experiences, taking features from concept through production.
• Develop Across the Stack: Build and maintain frontend interfaces, APIs, backend services, and database integrations while owning the complete development lifecycle.
• Leverage AI-Native Development: Use AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to explore solutions, generate code, scaffold components, and refactor efficiently while maintaining high engineering standards.
• Prototype and Iterate Rapidly: Build prototypes, validate ideas with users, and incorporate feedback to improve product usability and outcomes.
• Build Scalable Architecture: Develop reusable components, maintainable services, and well-structured codebases that support long-term scalability and efficient product development.
• Build Trustworthy AI Experiences: Design transparent and reliable AI-powered workflows that clearly communicate automated actions and provide predictable user experiences.
• Champion Engineering Excellence: Write clean, well-tested code and maintain high standards for performance, accessibility, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to solve technical challenges and deliver high-quality features.
• Share AI-Assisted Development Practices: Document effective prompts, workflows, and coding patterns to improve team productivity without compromising quality.
• Take End-to-End Ownership: Independently manage projects, make sound technical decisions, and balance rapid delivery with long-term maintainability.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience building and launching products from the ground up (0-to-1 development).
• Strong frontend development skills in React, TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript.
• Backend development experience with Node.js, tRPC, Drizzle ORM, SQL, and SST.
• Experience developing and maintaining production-grade applications across frontend, backend, and database layers.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex projects and significant areas of a codebase.
• Experience building and maintaining commercial products or paid services is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and the ability to incorporate them effectively into everyday engineering workflows.
• Strong understanding of software testing, application performance, accessibility, and scalable architecture.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical challenges, constraints, trade-offs, and delivery timelines.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving startup environment.
• Strong product mindset, entrepreneurial approach, and willingness to take on challenges beyond defined responsibilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with React Native or Expo for mobile application development.
• Experience building AI-powered applications or integrating large language models (LLMs) into production systems.
• Experience developing products in regulated or security-sensitive environments.
