Lead Pet Groomer and Salon Trainer

PetSmart is seeking a Pet Groomer & Salon Trainer to deliver exceptional grooming services while mentoring salon associates. In this role, you'll provide breed-specific cuts, bathing, brushing, nail trims, and styling, using safe, low-stress handling to prioritize pet welfare. You'll train and coach team members on grooming techniques, safety, sanitation, and customer service, helping maintain a clean, compliant, high-performing salon. Partner with pet parents to understand needs, recommend services and products, and support our pet-first, people-focused culture and community impact mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-service grooming including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling to breed and customer specifications
• Ensure safe, low-stress handling and monitoring of pets' health and behavior during grooming
• Train and coach salon associates on grooming techniques, safety, and customer service standards
• Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and equipment in compliance with company and industry guidelines
• Consult with pet parents to understand needs, recommend services, and educate on ongoing pet care
• Support scheduling, daily workflow, and adherence to productivity and quality goals
• Document services, notes, and any health or behavior concerns in company systems
• Promote Pet
• Smart programs, products, and services to enhance pet wellness and customer loyalty
