Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic II - Manufacturing

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a skilled Mobile Equipment Mechanic II to maintain and repair loaders, haul trucks, forklifts, and other mobile equipment at our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will perform diagnostics, scheduled preventive maintenance, and complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs to maximize equipment reliability and safety. You will document work, support continuous improvement, and collaborate closely with operators and supervisors in a safety-first, team-oriented, and performance-driven environment with opportunities for technical growth.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mobile and heavy equipment including loaders, haul trucks, and forklifts.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults using tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Complete welding, fabrication, and component replacement as needed for safe operation.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage in CMMS or logs.
• Collaborate with operators and supervisors to prioritize repairs and improve reliability.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and lockout/tagout procedures and company policies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend equipment or process upgrades.
