Accounting Manager

The Knickerbocker, a five-star luxury hotel in Times Square, seeks an Accounting Manager to lead daily financial operations in a fast-paced, upscale hospitality environment. This role oversees general ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end close, prepares financial statements and forecasts, and ensures GAAP compliance and strong internal controls. The Accounting Manager partners closely with operations and F&B leaders, supports budgeting and cost control, coordinates audits, and supervises accounting staff while upholding our guest-focused, detail-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations for a luxury hotel, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end close
• Prepare financial statements, forecasts, and management reports for leadership review
• Monitor budgets, expenses, and variance analyses to support cost control and profitability
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and hotel and corporate policies
• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audits and tax preparation
• Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff, promoting accuracy and service excellence
• Partner with operations, F&B, and room divisions to provide financial insights and support decisions
