Job Description
KOCH FOODS is seeking an Electrical Technician to support a high-volume poultry manufacturing facility. This role installs, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems, controls, motors, panels, and PLC-driven equipment to keep production running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, responding to line downtime, calibrating sensors, reading schematics, and following food safety and OSHA standards. You will collaborate with maintenance and production teams, document work performed, and support continuous improvement in reliability, safety, and plant performance across all shifts as needed.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair plant electrical equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot motors, panels, VFDs, and controls to minimize downtime
- Perform preventive and predictive electrical maintenance on production lines
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and manuals
- Support PLC-based equipment and controls under guidance of senior staff
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70
- E, and food safety requirements
- Calibrate and test sensors, switches, and safety devices
- Document work orders, parts used, and maintenance activities in CMMSCollaborate with production and maintenance teams to improve reliability
- Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives
Required Skills
