Layover Route Delivery Driver CDL A

Deliver food and food-related products to customers on scheduled routes while following DOT regulations and company safety procedures. Duties include inspecting and securing equipment and freight, unloading products, verifying deliveries, completing required paperwork and maintaining delivery equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck on assigned local, interstate, shuttle, and overnight routes.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report hazards or necessary repairs.
• Inspect freight, check loaded items against invoices, and secure cargo and equipment.
• Unload and transport products to designated customer storage areas and verify deliveries.
• Complete delivery paperwork, obtain customer signatures, and collect payment where required.
• Maintain hours-of-service records and keep the tractor, trailer, and work areas clean.
