• Significant involvement with large tax compliance engagements for complex organizations at a major public accounting firm
• Experience with tax issues relating to employee benefit plans
• Experience with international individual and corporate taxation
• Experience with tax issues affecting non-profit organizations
• Experience with compliance issues relating to payroll and unclaimed property
• Experience performing as a subject matter expert for multiple corporate departments (finance, legal, investments, human resources, compliance, etc.) as well as managing relationships with external tax advisors
• Ability to self-manage
• Superior organizational skills
• Experienced in both tax preparation and tax review
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills - ability to effectively communicate with senior management as well as with external counsels, advisors and consultants
• Strong critical/analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze, interpret & make sound business decisions
• Strong people management skills - needs to effectively coach and develop employees
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint)applications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• BABS in Accounting or related field required
• CPA is required
• Minimum of 15+ years of tax experience with a major public accounting firm or corporate tax department
• Managerial or Team Lead experience required
