Wood Model Maker

Stellantis is seeking a skilled Wood Model Maker to build high-precision models that shape next-generation vehicles. In this hands-on role, you will interpret drawings and CAD data to fabricate full-scale and scale wood models, bucks, and fixtures using saws, mills, lathes, CNC, and hand tools. You'll collaborate with designers and engineers, ensuring models meet tight dimensional and surface standards. Working in a dynamic, innovative shop, you'll support EV and advanced vehicle programs and continuous model iterations in a safe, quality-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering designs to build precise full-scale and scale wood models for vehicle components and prototypes
• Select, prepare, and machine wood materials using saws, mills, lathes, CNC and hand tools
• Assemble, trim, sand, and finish models to tight dimensional and surface quality specifications
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to refine concepts and resolve build issues
• Read and apply blueprints, CAD drawings, and digital templates to ensure accuracy
• Inspect, measure, and document model dimensions using precision instruments
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe, organized model shop environment
• Support iteration, modifications, and repairs to existing models based on feedback
