Cafeteria Cook - Manufacturing Facility

SAM-MAS, Ltd. in Brownsville, TX is seeking a Restaurant Line Cook to support its industrial manufacturing campus cafeteria. This role prepares daily meals for production crews, follows standardized recipes, and maintains food quality and safety standards. The Line Cook will set up and break down stations, support high-volume meal periods aligned to shift changes, and keep kitchen areas clean and organized. The position works closely with supervisors to adjust menus for crew needs, minimize waste, and ensure reliable, on-time service in a fast-paced, safety-focused industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items for cafeteria service to production crews
• Set up, operate, and break down cooking and service stations
• Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards
• Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in all kitchen areas
• Manage prep work, labeling, and storage to support high-volume meal periods
• Coordinate timing of orders to serve crews efficiently around shift changes
• Monitor inventory, report shortages, and help reduce food waste
• Operate basic kitchen equipment safely in an industrial environment
• Support menu adjustments based on crew feedback and production schedules
• Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements in the facility
