Import & Trade Compliance Logistics Analyst - Defense Manufacturing

SAAB is seeking an Import Analyst to manage and optimize global import activities supporting advanced defense and security manufacturing. In this role, you will ensure compliant, cost-effective cross-border flows by preparing and reviewing import documentation, managing HS classification and duties, and coordinating with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal supply chain teams. You will monitor regulatory changes, support audits, resolve clearance issues, and analyze data to reduce lead times and costs. Working in Saab's innovative, mission-driven culture, you'll collaborate across engineering, logistics, and compliance teams on high-impact, global programs while growing your trade and regulatory expertise.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import processes and documentation for global shipments
• Ensure compliance with customs, trade, and defense-related regulations (e.g., ITAR/EAR)
• Perform HS classification, duty calculation, and tariff optimization
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal supply chain teams
• Monitor regulatory changes and support compliance audits and internal controls
• Resolve customs clearance issues and shipment delays
• Analyze import data to reduce lead times, costs, and compliance risks
• Maintain accurate master data in ERP and trade systems
• Support cross-functional projects to improve import and logistics processes
• Prepare reports and KPIs for supply chain and management stakeholders
