Forward Deployed Engineering Manager, Government AI

Leads a pod of forward deployed engineers delivering production AI systems for strategic government customers. Owns delivery execution, technical quality, operational readiness, and team development while guiding architecture, resolving blockers, and expanding customer AI adoption. Requires U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, with up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery across one or more customer engagements and structure teams for coverage.
• Set execution cadences and maintain engineering quality across active programs.
• Oversee technical direction, review architecture, and resolve or escalate technical blockers.
• Ensure AI systems meet operational standards, evaluation frameworks, and production readiness criteria.
• Hire, coach, develop, and retain engineers; manage performance and career plans.
• Identify opportunities to expand customer AI adoption and share reusable patterns with the broader practice.
