CDL A Shuttle Truck Driver

US Foods is seeking a safety-focused Shuttle CDL A Driver to support our Transportation & Logistics team. In this role, you will shuttle trailers between distribution centers, yards, and partner locations, ensuring timely, accurate, and DOT-compliant movement of products. You'll perform pre-/post-trip inspections, secure loads, maintain detailed logs, and communicate with dispatch to adjust to route changes in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL A tractor to shuttle trailers between US Foods facilities and yards
• Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and document findings
• Ensure compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations and policies
• Maintain accurate ELD logs, trip documentation, and required paperwork
• Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, and equipment issues
• Secure loads, verify trailer condition, and report defects or damage promptly
• Support on-time trailer movements to meet tight delivery and production schedules
• Follow yard and dock protocols when spotting, dropping, and hooking trailers
• Operate in a performance-driven, customer-focused, and safety-oriented manner
• Participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement initiatives
