Sports Field Manager

Oversee the maintenance and operation of athletic fields and grounds in a hands-on leadership role. Lead and train staff, manage equipment and budgets, maintain safe, high-quality playing surfaces, and prepare fields for games and events while coordinating field renovations and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily sports field maintenance, including mowing, trimming, painting, edging, clay work, and snow or ice removal.
• Supervise and train employees and conduct performance reviews.
• Manage maintenance budgets, equipment, and inventory.
• Oversee field conversions, renovations, and event setups.
• Inspect fields, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with clients and promptly resolve service issues.
