Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and welcome guests as they arrive and depart
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and walk-in guests using reservation or POS systems
• Coordinate and assign seating to optimize table turns and guest flow
• Communicate accurate wait times and manage guest expectations
• Answer basic questions about menus, specials, and available services
• Provide guests with directions and general information about the venue and surrounding travel hub
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the entrance, host stand, and waiting areas
• Collaborate with servers, bussers, and managers to ensure smooth front-of-house operations
• Monitor guest queues and crowding, following safety and security guidelines
• Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary
• Support basic closing and opening procedures related to the host area
• Follow all company policies regarding safety, security, and customer service standards
