Position: Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Orthopedic Trauma SurgeryCoverage Requirement: Full-Time or 14 days per month minimumShifts: HourlyShift Options:

• 6:00 AM-2:00 PM
• 6:00 AM-6:00 PM
• 6:00 PM-6:00 AM

Coverage: Weekdays and weekendsCall: Level I Trauma call requiredSchedule: Must be comfortable working both day and night shifts

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

South Carolina PA License: REQUIREDACLS or ATLS: REQUIRED - candidate must have at least oneSouth Carolina DEA: REQUIREDSouth Carolina CDS: REQUIRED

Important: South Carolina DEA and South Carolina CDS must be in place before an application can be requested from Parallon. The DEA must be in place before the CDS can be applied for/issued.

CLINICAL ROLE

• Orthopedic trauma surgery coverage
• Level I Trauma coverage
• OR responsibilities
• ICU coverage
• Hospital rounding
• Overnight call
• Post-operative visits
• ED support
• Orthopedic trauma consultations
• Post-op patient care
• No clinic work

Daily Patient Volume: Approximately 20 patients

REQUIRED ORTHOPEDIC TRAUMA EXPERIENCE

Candidates should have experience and be comfortable with:

• Fracture reductions
• Washouts
• Level I or Level II trauma
• First call
• Orthopedic trauma call
• Day and night shifts
• Hospital rounding
• OR responsibilities
