Clinical Laboratory Manager

Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii, LLP is seeking a Laboratory Manager to lead daily operations in our full-service clinical diagnostic lab. This role oversees staff scheduling, workflow, quality control, and regulatory compliance while ensuring accurate, timely test results for providers across the islands. The Laboratory Manager collaborates with pathologists and healthcare teams, manages instrumentation and inventory, and drives a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and staff development. This position is ideal for a licensed lab professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for patient-centered care and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the clinical laboratory to ensure accurate and timely testing
• Supervise, schedule, and mentor laboratory technologists and support staff
• Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state regulatory standards and inspections
• Implement and monitor quality control and quality assurance programs
• Coordinate maintenance, calibration, and validation of laboratory instruments
• Manage inventory, ordering, and cost-effective use of reagents and supplies
• Develop, update, and enforce standard operating procedures and safety protocols
• Collaborate with pathologists, clinicians, and leadership to support patient care
• Analyze workflow and performance data to drive process improvements
• Support staff training, competency assessment, and continuous education
