Senior Cost Accountant - Manufacturing

Greenfield Milling seeks a Senior Accountant to lead financial reporting and cost accounting for our grain milling operations in Greenfield, Indiana. In this role, you'll manage the general ledger, month-end close, and financial statements while analyzing grain, inventory, and production costs. You'll partner closely with our operations team to support equipment, maintenance, and process decisions. Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close for milling operations
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses
• Oversee cost accounting for grain purchasing, inventory, and production runs
• Reconcile accounts, monitor cash flow, and support budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant tax, regulatory, and agricultural reporting
• Support annual audits and coordinate with external accountants
• Implement and maintain internal controls and process improvements
• Partner with operations to analyze equipment, maintenance, and production costs
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses for leadership decision-making
• Maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement in financial practices
