Job Description
Vantor is seeking a Spacecraft Engineer to design, simulate, and support software-driven spacecraft systems and mission tooling. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build control, telemetry, and data-processing solutions using modern web, cloud, and automation technologies. Responsibilities include requirements analysis, system modeling, integration of spacecraft subsystems with ground software, performance testing, and reliability engineering. You'll apply agile practices, contribute to architecture decisions, mentor peers, and continuously improve tools and pipelines to deliver robust, scalable space mission capabilities for clients.
Responsibilities
- Design and model software-driven spacecraft systems and mission tooling
- Analyze requirements and translate them into technical designs and architectures
- Integrate spacecraft subsystems with ground software and cloud services
- Develop and maintain control, telemetry, and data-processing pipelines
- Conduct performance, reliability, and integration testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile methodologies
- Contribute to architecture and technology stack decisions
- Automate build, test, and deployment workflows for mission software
- Create and maintain technical documentation and system diagrams
- Mentor peers and support continuous improvement of engineering practices
